We Inspired Turkey’s E-Transformation

Tmarka is a cutting-edge technology and management consulting company that guides Turkey’s digital transformation processes with innovative and creative ideas. We implemented the E-Municipality applications, one of the first steps of Turkey’s E-Government project, by undertaking the digital transformation project of Istanbul Kartal Municipality in 2004.

The digital transformation applications we implemented at Kartal Municipality achieved great success in a short time and resonated widely across Turkey. This success served as an inspiration for other municipalities and led them to seek our support for their own transformation processes.
A Success Story on the International Stage

This remarkable success story in the field of e-municipality attracted great interest at the ‘Forum on Sustainable Urbanisation in the Information Age’ organised by the United Nations (UN)-Habitat and UNDESA-Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at the UN Headquarters. The local government and e-municipality applications we presented at the forum attracted global attention.

We Paved the Way for the E-Government Portal

Two years after we launched the digitalisation revolution in local governments, the Turkish Government issued a Council of Ministers Decision in 2006 regarding the establishment, operation and management of the E-Government Portal. Our e-municipality and digital transformation applications in Istanbul Kartal Municipality served as an exemplary model and an inspiring source of motivation for Turkish Government officials.

During the process of implementing digital transformation for the Turkish Government, we provided comprehensive support in areas such as legal infrastructure, rules, principles, experiences, technology, standards, data sets, security parameters, strategy, mapping, scaling, project management, and prioritisation.
